Banquet Hall Website in Labiszyn – Sala Ewa Case Study

Banquet Hall Website in Labiszyn – Sala Ewa Case Study – project screenshot

Choosing a hall for a wedding or a christening is rarely a five-minute decision. The family looks at photos, checks how many rooms are available, whether the venue provides catering and how to get in touch. For Sala Bankietowa “Ewa” in Łabiszyn we prepared a website that answers these questions: salabankietowa-ewa.pl. In this case study we describe how we arranged the content, the gallery and the contact details for a local venue that has been operating for many years.

In short: a banquet hall website in Łabiszyn

  • Client: Sala Bankietowa “Ewa” (Ewa Banquet Hall), Łabiszyn (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship)
  • Industry: catering and hospitality, wedding and event halls, catering
  • Scope: graphic design, WordPress theme, home page, about us, catering, interior gallery, news, enquiry form, cookies, accessibility panel
  • Technologies: WordPress, WooCommerce (shop module), Blocs, cookie and accessibility plugins
  • Website: salabankietowa-ewa.pl

The challenge: show seven halls and encourage a conversation

According to the website, the venue has seven air-conditioned banquet and dance halls of various sizes, and the offer covers weddings, christenings, first communions, birthdays, anniversaries, prom parties, funeral receptions and company events, as well as hall hire for training sessions and presentations. It is a wide range that is easily turned into an unreadable list. At the same time, guests are looking above all for one thing: photos that let them picture their own celebration.

The conversation with the client produced specific needs:

  • a credible presentation of the venue: its history, family atmosphere and experience,
  • a gallery showing different arrangements, from classic wedding setups to corporate ones,
  • clear information about catering and the option of hiring a hall without catering,
  • visible contact details and opening hours,
  • the ability to send an enquiry quickly without calling,
  • space for news, such as new services or company projects.

One thing deserves clarifying. A celebration is not a shop purchase: the date, rooms and menu are agreed in conversation. That is why, instead of a booking calendar, we designed an enquiry form that leads to contact. It is a realistic model for a venue where the owner decides on the date.

How we worked on the project

We began by reviewing the materials: photos of the interiors, descriptions of the offer and texts about the venue’s history. Then we arranged the structure of the site around the guest’s journey: getting to know the venue, viewing the halls, checking the catering and getting in touch. We based the graphic design on a warm burgundy colour scheme with the hall’s logo, and after implementation we tested the pages on phone and computer, especially the gallery and the form.

The solution: a website that leads from photos to an enquiry

The website runs on WordPress, with a theme prepared for this venue. The menu includes: the home page, About us, Catering, the Gallery, news (“New”) and a highlighted contact button in the header. Everything is clear, and guests do not have to wonder where to find the most important information.

Home page: what they organise and where is clear at once

The first screen already shows the name of the venue, the town and a short description: a place in the heart of Łabiszyn, seven air-conditioned halls and hospitality for newlyweds, families and companies. Below is a list of celebrations in simple bullet points, a section “Why choose Sala Ewa?”, and information about hall hire and catering. At the end of the home page are the contact details and opening hours, so they do not have to be looked up on a separate page.

Interior gallery in an even grid

The gallery is the heart of the site. It contains more than twenty photos of the halls in various arrangements: from tables laid for a reception to a dance floor with lighting. The photos are arranged in an even grid and load lazily as you scroll. This way the page displays quickly, and a guest can calmly view the interiors one after another. We deliberately show interiors, not people: the gallery presents the space in which guests will celebrate.

The venue’s story on the About us page

The About us page describes the history of the venue: according to it, the beginnings go back to 1993, and since 2021 the business has been run by the second generation of the family. The text also mentions the expansion of the business to include catering for nurseries, kindergartens and schools, and the option of organising celebrations outside the premises. Such a description builds trust, because it shows that the venue has experience and a family tradition.

Catering in a separate section

The Catering page is organised by categories of dishes: meats, cold dishes, salads and side dishes, and soups. Each category has its own tile with a button. On the home page, catering is described as a combination of traditional, home-style flavour with elegant presentation, with optional waiter service, table decorations and a full set of tableware. This section prepares the ground for expanding the offer with further content.

Enquiry form and contact details

On the Contact page the guest sees a phone number, address and email, and below them a form: full name, phone number, subject, email and message, with an “Ask” button. The form is short, because an enquiry about a celebration is mainly meant to open a conversation. It has no date field or calendar, and the date is agreed with the owner.

News and information about an EU project

The website has a “New” tab with information about planned mobile catering points and a page with information about co-financing, describing a project supported by European Union funds. Such a section is useful because companies carrying out EU projects have to inform the public about them, and the owner manages the content in WordPress herself.

Why a local hall needs its own website

Many wedding venues rely on social media profiles and recommendations. That works, but photos in posts quickly disappear from view, and a guest from another town does not know whether the hall will hold their family. A dedicated website puts this information in one place: the number of halls, types of celebration, catering, opening hours and address. Someone typing a phrase like “banquet hall Łabiszyn” into a search engine lands on a description of the venue, not on a single post that has to be scrolled through from the beginning.

Tone matters too. The texts on the website are written in a warm, family-style language that suits the character of the venue, and the layout is simple: large headings, a readable font and plenty of white space around the photos. Guests on such websites are often people of different ages searching on a phone, so buttons and text must be large and readable, without frills.

SEO, GDPR and accessibility

Each page has its own canonical address, and the pages have defined titles and descriptions. The location of the venue, Łabiszyn, is communicated by the content and contact details, which helps people looking for a hall in the area. We do not promise positions in search results, because they depend on the competition and on actions taken over time.

  • Cookies: a banner with the options “Reject”, “Settings” and “Accept”, and in the settings necessary, analytics and marketing cookies listed separately.
  • Privacy: the footer has links to the privacy policy and the “Returns and complaints” page.
  • Accessibility: a panel with font size adjustment, a simple font, a contrast mode and highlighted keyboard focus.

Technologies

The website runs on WordPress, with a theme we prepared for this venue and layouts created in the Blocs tool. Additional features are handled by plugins: a custom cookie plugin and a plugin with an accessibility panel. WooCommerce is also installed, which gives access to a cart and account in the menu; at the time of verification the shop contained no products yet, so we do not treat it as working online sales. The photos in the gallery load lazily.

The result

The venue has a website that shows the halls, tells the company’s story and leads to contact. We do not give the number of enquiries or growth in bookings, because we do not have such data and do not publish it. The qualitative effect is an organised offer, an interior gallery available in a few clicks and a form that shortens the path to a conversation. All descriptions of the offer, such as the number of halls or the range of services, come from the client. In addition, content can be updated in the WordPress panel, so changing opening hours, a new photo or news does not need a developer’s help. The venue also has a base prepared for further development of the site, for example for expanding the catering section.

Who this solution is for

The solution suits banquet halls, restaurants with a reception room, guesthouses and event venues that sell mainly through conversation. If guests choose a venue by photos and reviews, a gallery, a description of the history and quick contact matter more than an elaborate booking system. See also our services.

The patisserie Rynkowa Bistro, which has a separate online shop, belongs to the same family of brands. We describe it in a separate case study.

A banquet hall website: how to present a venue when clients decide by photos

Sala Ewa is located in Łabiszyn in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, not in Bydgoszcz. As an agency from Bydgoszcz we also carry out projects for venues in the region, and this example shows the logic of the event industry well: a family looks at the gallery, checks whether the venue provides catering, and the date is decided in conversation anyway. That is why, instead of a calendar, it received a simple enquiry form, and the location is communicated by the content and contact details, which helps people typing a phrase like “banquet hall Łabiszyn”.

A good website for such a venue rests on a few elements: a clear gallery, a description of the history, a separate catering page and a visible phone number. We discuss page layout and readability on a phone in the article on website design, and the principles of search visibility in the text on SEO for a local business.

The same family of brands includes the Rynkowa Bistro patisserie shop, which is built around a cart. Do you run a hall or a restaurant? Browse the agency’s offer and write to us.

FAQ

Should a banquet hall website have online date booking?

It depends on how the venue works. For weddings and larger celebrations the date is usually set in conversation, because the hall, menu and number of guests have to be matched. That is why on the Sala Ewa website we opt for a simple enquiry form and a visible phone number, not a calendar that would suggest instant confirmation.

How many photos should a banquet hall gallery have?

Enough to show every interior and the character of the different arrangements, but not so many that the page drags. The Sala Ewa gallery contains more than twenty photos, most of which load lazily, so the page is not heavy.

Can a hall website show a catering offer?

Yes, and it is worth doing in a separate page. Catering here has its own section with categories of dishes: meats, cold dishes, salads and side dishes, and soups. The owner determines the content of such sections; we take care of the structure and appearance.

Why does a banquet hall need a cookie banner and an accessibility panel?

A cookie banner lets visitors decide about analytics and marketing cookies, which is required by law. An accessibility panel with font and contrast adjustment helps older people and those with poorer eyesight, and such people are often guests and organisers of family celebrations.

How long does it take to make a website for a local event venue?

The time depends on the number of pages, the amount of material and whether additional features are needed, such as a shop or a gallery. We do not give fixed deadlines without a conversation. After a short brief we define the scope and schedule for the specific venue.
